You can find our adoptable cats on Adopt-A-Pet and PetFinder, as well as on our Instagram!

Update: Due to the pandemic, we do not currently have adoptable kittens at Bushwick Bark.

Kitten Adoption Policy

Kittens 3-4 months and younger must be adopted with another cat (of any age) or go to a home that already has another animal. There are no exceptions to this policy, which is for the best interest of the kitten to ensure they have a healthy social development!

Once you have decided which cat you want to adopt, you can fill out our online Adoption Application. (Please allow for several days for us to review your application and contact your references.)

We will then contact you to set up a meeting with the cat (due to Covid, most meetings are currently video chats). If you choose to commit to adopting one of our lovable cats, you will complete and sign an adoption contract.

Depending on available resources, we will deliver the cat to your home (which requires a home check).

What to Expect

We recommend all new cat owners review this adoption handbook for suggestions and advice on cat care.

There is a $150 adoption fee for all cats and kittens, payable by cash or Venmo (@whiskersagogo). This fee covers the cost of vaccinations, testing, deworming, microchipping, spay/neuter, and more.

Special Care Kitties

Most "special care" kitties don't need more than home adjustments and closer attention.

1 yr old! Named after the noir star, Mitchum seduces with a sultry stare, a low rumbling purr, and a dazzling display of bright-white whiskers. But he’s not just easy on the eyes, Mitchum is also playful, sweet, and ready to cuddle. This silky bad boy is about a year old and has been fully vetted, fixed, and microchipped. He’s looking for a home for the holidays—even a foster will do for now, since the costar in his current foster home has a mean streak and keeps roughing him up.
